All the local shops want 250 and they need to order them from back east so it's 4-8 weeks…. and then shipping on top of the $250 lol. I ordered the part of rock auto for $225 express shipped… Should be here by the23rd haha

Well I ended up getting the part on the 23rd, but something else has died I guess. Pretty sure the starter is toast. $500 to have it installed... I'm not touching 20 yr old rusted exhaust manifold bolts and it's in the dumbest spot.

It lives. Had to have the starter replaced and it wasn't fun. The guy let me into the shop to see how it was done in case it craps out again. Pretty sure a leaky valve cover gasket fried the solenoid so it could happen again. Definitly not a fun job. No idea how I'd ever do it without a lift. Time will tell I guess.

And when it rains it pours -.-
My alternator light just came on and lights and radio have started to turn off and on randomly so it looks like I'm gonna have to replace that now too. The kicker? Same spot as the starter but on the opposite side. Isuzu blows haha

i do hate when the alternator is not on top. to me that just means the road water and rain can get close to the alt and corrode the copper in it.
