![]() Ended up ordering a stock replacement from summit. 2 day shipping free to the US so I get to border hop to pick it up haha. Moving along for a change with the build, I've got most of the brackets painted as well as the headers coated with VHT. Going to convert from the 2 two-wire coolant temp sensors to 1 three-wire sensor tapped into the LIM. Thinking I'm going to have to splice my injector harness at some point but need a little help with it as I'm god awful when it comes to electronics. Apart from that though I now have all the needed sensors and am just waiting to find a 3400 water pump pulley. Threw the old 3.4 one out with the waterpump like a dumb ass.

![]() Do you think it would be easier to put the wiring harness on the block and plug everything in prior to install or after its in the bay?

![]() definitely before
there are somethings you would leave unhooked until you install the block but you need to be able to route everything before you get it into the engine bay with no head room |

![]() I've looked around but haven't had any luck finding any diagrams or anything on where everything goes, any idea where I can find one?

![]() Yeah that's been super helpful too, I'm just talking about a labelled diagram of the wiring harness itself. Which connector is for which sensor and how to route it haha. Been so long since I pulled the engine and I left the harness in the car so I'm completely lost. On another note, how effective are underdrive pulley sets? Along with my water pump pulley being lost so was my crank pulley and I'm wondering if it wouldn't just be better to get an underdrive set due to the lack of 3.4s in the wreckers here

![]() the harness should be pretty easy once you get started. i would search photos of 3.4 motor that are out of the car and look at how its routed

![]() What did you wind up doing with those headers? Did you swap flanges or get a 3x00 header?

![]() Do you have any pictures of the completed build or any dyno graphs? I am wanting to do pretty much this exact build but add a 60mm t3/4 turbo to the mix too...
anyone have any issues with running forced induction into the 3.4L motor? I have read horror stories about a 3.4 blowing up under boost, and I have read a success story of a turbo 3.4 running 9's in the 1/4 mile...I plan to build my car for the road course and the street. I am also looking at converting to a Mega Squirt Stand Alone Fuel Management System. I am also looking at the Heidts Suspension IRS Conversion for 4th gen cars since i have factory open diff 10 bolt with drum brakes... ![]() |
