Congrats on the 5.0. I had a bunch of mustangs and F-bodies growing up. Yeah, bone stock the 5.0's from the 80's / early 90's sucked. On my 1988 GT 5 speed, I ran a 650 CFM Holley carb, Aluminum Dual plane intake, swapped in that Hydraulic E303 cam, Got a set of GT40P heads from a buddy that been worked, long tube headers, H pipe, 3.73 gears and it was really fun to drive. I rather change spark plugs on that 5.0 than my F-body LT1 lol.

im debating on whether or not to go efi and get a gt40 or explorer intake, gt40 heads are on the list. has 3.73s already thought about upgrading to a 8.8

still needs a ton of work but its 30 years old. i like it so far. rather have a firebird.

why do you want to bother it? to total it? lol. you can paint it for me

yea yea i know alot of people hate me for having this. but im having major starter issues. maybe someone here can help me?

ive been having to push my car off to start it.

let me get started

the car has a starter relay. hot goes in, hot goes out. ignition wire goes in, then one to the starter. pretty simple.

hot goes out from the relay to the starter. then the starter wire from the relay to the starter.

okay. if i ground it against the motor, nothing.

here is the tricky part..

if i connect the ignition wire directly to the starter and the hot directly to the starter and ground the starter to the output of the relay itll start.

so i replacxed the relay and starter.. still the same thing.

so i think its my ignition switch.

so i run the ignition wire from the starter to the inside and run a hot wire from the battery and turn the key to run and touch the wires together.. the bendex pops out but doesnt spin and the wires get hot.

im stumped
