depends, would you want all of it?
I also have 6 pistons from a 3400 I got off ebay, the rods are pretty rusted though, I guess you could have em refinished of something

to be honest, i'm not really interested, just curious how much these parts would go for.

I've seen a couple UIM and LIM go on ebay for 40-60 shipped each. Mainly on shipping though cause of weight. I pulled mine out of a 3400 car in the pic n' pull here.

To the OP, what are you gonna use to control all this when your done.
What all vehicles came with the 3500?

I think I recall a new malibu at the junkyard with a 3500 in it.

The 3500 (AKA LX9) was offered in:

2005-2006 Buick Terraza/Chevrolet Uplander/Pontiac Montana/Saturn Relay
2004-2006 Chevrolet Malibu/Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
2005-2006 Pontiac G6 Sedan / Coupe
2006 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible

You don't need a doner ECM if you use a standalone, convert to OBDII, or OBDI. Any of these can piggyback the stock ECM (control timing/fuel only) and transmission control will be ratined.

Using stock pistons and 3500 heads will yield about 11.56:1 compression and with a good cam (270 grind or bigger) it will run on pump gas if tuned properly. We now have 3 3.4/3500's running around that I'm aware of, countless 3400's w/3500 heads and Camaro RWD pistons, and I know of one 3400 with 3.4 DOHC flat top pistons 12.6:1 compression running on pump gas. Cam selection is of utmost importance if you plan on running high compression. A member of another board I sponsor bought a 3500 top end and didn't heed my advice on the cam selection. Due to extremely high trapped mass (and cranking pressure) it would start detonating after 3000 RPM (when the cam came into efficiency).

3500 heads are superior to the 3400 heads in stock form. The 3500 heads got a re-designed combustion chamber to increase efficiency even further, the ports got moved up onto the heads to flow better.

Put it this way: the 3500 heads only flow slightly less than a set of race ported Abbott heads, if that's any inclination to the power possible. There's a 3500 powered Cavalier running 13 flat and dynoed over 270whp with porting and big cam.

The 3500 plenum also got a re-design and now resembles a plenum more so than a manifold, but without modification, it will not fit under a 4th gen cowl.
