Well since I fixed the wipe motor problem, guess it's time for something else. This always happens as soon as the car is paid for.

My driver's side window:

Goes down fine.
When you raise it back up, it will move a few inches then stop.
If you wait a few seconds, it will move up a bit before stopping again.
The longer you wait, the more it will raise before stopping.

At first, I was thinking the circuit breaker was tripping. Not the case. When the driver's window stops, the passenger side still operates. Additionally, I pulled the fuse panel and the breaker is not tripping.

Any thoughts?

Their is a small breaker inside the window motor that is triggered when it over heats. This occurs commonly as the motor starts to wear out. sorry, but its time for a replacement.

...just like everyone else. :dis:

Hmm... Are our motors cheap and easy to do?

its usually a good sign that the motors are on the way out when the sparatically dont work (especailly if its been hot as shit out and the windows have been up in the car all day, which will get them good and hot and moody little whores).

...and it is hot as shit out today.

there not all that bad, a couple ways to do them...you can even do it without having to mess with the regulator. gotta drill out a few rivets.

Yeah man, that doesn't look difficult at all. Kinda fun actually. I love cutting car. :naughty:

lol you can do it without drilling those holes in the inner door skin, but then its a lot more trouble messing with the regulator.

I have no problem drilling the holes. It looks a hell of a lot easier that way.

Yeah... and the motors appear to be very inexpensive. Hardly what I was expecting.

You know, my passenger motor has been getting slower and slower over time. Maybe I'll just do them both.

Ok, I got the info I believe. All 93-02 F-bodies use the same window motor.

the same thing happend to me but when i was getting it fixed my dads friend told me that i had to replace the regulator because the the small teeth that that touch with the motor to make it go up the very last ones broke so my window will not go up, you can hear the motor winding and the window just jumps up and down hahahahahaha, how hard is it to switch cuase when i was at the junk yard getting it the guy was having trouble taking it off.

its not really a hard job, its just that its cramped in there with little room to work. if you have small hands/arms its not to bad.

Haha, yeap. Easy to do, took me less than an hour.

Just gotta watch getting cut up.
And dont break any tabs on the door.

Yeah, I've had the door panels off many times, so that will definitely be a piece of pie.

When I bought my 95 this past winter, The motors were shot, I found the window motors on Ebay for 15 bucks each with free shipping. 6 Months later thier still working great.
