so is that to say it will have leak issues? stay away from this car? thoughts?

pics here:

so my concern is the roof. the paint is really rough as the clearcoat is peeling. she needs new paint.

isnt there a structural support that goes through the middle of the roof??

personally i wouldnt buy it

hmmm im really on the fence. 99k miles and it is in decent shape by no means mint but it has tons of potential. id like to get more information on the structural support.

im assuming though that it would only be an issue if i rolled the car or really turned it into a hot rod.

what do you think?

I'm with vemon, the main beam that holds the roof together is run right where those tardos put the sunroof, theres a reason our cars have t tops. That thing probably drives like a convertible or worse.

Test drive it. Get on it a little bit, brake hard, do some hard left to right turns. I bet you hear it make noise or flex....somthing. I personally would not buy it. I have NEVER seen a 4th gen with a sun roof.

Yea i would be very weary. Unless they did some beefing up of the sub frame, then they caused some major issues by cutting the top out of that thing. You could check to see if the door graps are screwed, or any panel gaps in general. I would still be a bit worried though.

ya i checked it out. it looks like they did a good job. the whole car needs fresh paint. it was aftermarket from what i can tell.

anyway it was KINDA cool to see a moonroof in a camaro pre 2010.

if you get it definitely get sub frame connectors to help tie the body together. I would stay away from it though

ya i have decided to shy away. sorry to say but thats a camaro i really dont want. well maybe the parts...

That is interesting, never seen a Camaro with a moon roof. I would guess it didn't go back to far but I think it is good you stayed away from it.
