How do you like it Jim?

Honestly, best system I've even had on any car. If I had to do it again, I'd get the same thing. The sound is nice, but not too over bearing. Stainless steel wont rust out, like the Flowmaster system did on my truck.

Sounds like this (http://www.336media.com/bonemaro/exhaust.wmv)

that dose have a good interior sound.

yes the magnaflow is set up that way. The 3" system is the v8 version, the 2.5" version is the v6 version. Also there are two versions of the v6, depending on your year

Throwback Bird
08-18-2011, 10:14 PM
why couldnt I run the 3" for the v8

Travis@gvperformance
08-19-2011, 09:57 AM
you can, quite a few guys do run the 3" setup. What are your power goals though with the car? Do you need the flow of 3" for the hp you are pushing? It is going to move your torque/power curves differently. And is it a 3.4 or 3.8?

Throwback Bird

Its a 3.4L I plan on doing a turbo or something later on in life, maybe eventually going V8
if I dont do the top end swap and force induction. plus Im about to install 260H.

Travis@gvperformance

go with the 2.5". :)

That is a nice looking system. I might have to put this on my 96. My 94 has a good sounding system but I do not think it is a catback though I think it is just something a muffler shop made for it cause I have not seen one like it on any other f-body.

I will snap a photo tomorrow of it...its dark outside now. But it looks like its one made for any car that a muffler shop roughted the pipes to fit with one exit pip with dual round tips.

Well the person who had these cars was a bit ghetto if you know what I mean...that car also had huge shiny rims and half ass installed music which I am still ripping wires out from so I can run fresh wires the right way.

This Guy even had a speaker ran under the front bumper that I need to lift my car up to take off...he did give me a nice pair of mtx 12's in a box made for the t-top area.

Yeah, the muffler just look like a regular flowmaster 40

djwyman
08-30-2011, 10:52 PM
Yea I figured it was a flowmaster but was not sure cause I didn't see any writing on it anywhere

Its probably a knock off, flows are expensive.

Travis@gvperformance
08-31-2011, 08:56 AM
yea they just welded in a muffler, left the stock piping it looks like. Get yourself a cat back system ;)

If that is the car I keep I will...though I am not sure that is the one I want to keep because the other car seems to be in way better shape over all And less "ghettofide" I just need to get off my butt and take the time to finish changing the fuel pump.

Well you would probably be better off with the 3.8. I think the aftermarket is alot better.

That's the one I am leaning towards but I had a tropical storm that decided to screw up my weekend of getting that one road ready.

How about trying a Bassani catback. I have yet to hear one on a v6. I was going to go with a Bassani one until I found my Slp one for so cheap.

Id really like to have this one.

That slp one looks nice...but seeing as how I am poor I will probably go with that magnaflow at the beginning of this topic.

the tsp rumbler setup is extremely loud and makes for some hefty drone when cruising. great flow, just really loud

Throwback Bird
09-08-2011, 01:44 PM
Yeah don't want nothing crazy loud, ill probably go with the magnaflow system.
