i have a teacher thats selling a 3800 out of a grand prix for cheap. same year as my camaro. is everything the same in the 2 engines? is anything the same? Id rather build up a motor out of the car then drop it in but you cant drop in the grand prix 3800, can you?

is it the n/a motor? if so you can use it, it will just need your upper and lower intakes, fuel system, accessories, exhuast manifolds, and motor mounts. but the short block is all the same.

i dont liek starting new threads for just a simple question so im gunna continue this one. first off, will the valve covers off a gp 3800 fit on our cars? and second will the valve covers and upper and lower intakes off a 96 fbody fit on a 98?

The valve covers im not to sure of. I would have to look at them, the only concerns would be the oil filler tube i think. The valve covers and intakes off the 96 should work fine.
