I'm gonna get all my questions in before I lift my car up Tuesday :D I'm thinking of inexpensive ways to refurbish parts of my car cause I don't really have money to get new stuff.

Was wondering if it'd be practical to take off my exhaust pipes and coat them with something if that something exists to protect it from further rust.

Do you have mostly factory exhaust?

It's got something by Flowmaster and a slightly newer cat converter.

if its already rusting, covering it without taking the rust off isn't going to stop the rust. there is some VHT stuff you can spray the exhaust pipes with the seems to hold up well. jim has had his headers spray for a while and he's been happy with the life of the paint on them them.

Yes, VHT Header paint. Sprayed the headers years ago and they still look great.

Or rust oleum header, exhaust paint is what I used, autozone and advance doesn't carry anything by vht here anymore. Even the night shades is made by rust oleum.

Best solution is to move away from a northern climate... or not drive your car in the winter.

:dis: Sad but true. Really though I too have used the rustoleum stuff as well and it has held up fine for me.
