Hey anybody and everybody... what do you think of this sim? Anyone ever order this one?

Also, any idea which connector a 2000 3.8 uses?

Ive had a friend (the one with the gp) that got one from their and it worked great. i would just pull that one i got you off to check the connector. should be able to identify it pretty easily.

Yeah man, I'm gonna order one of these Type 1's. Hopefully, this will solve my problems. I'll post up my results.

With any luck, I'll be changing my avatar and title soon.

Didn't you just put a sim on there that doesn't work? Since you'll be removing that anyways, why not take it off and look at it? Either way, since you have to specify the make and model for the o2 sim on that site they should send you the right one.

Because I live in an apartment and risk eviction each time I put a jack under my car (Not sure how I got away with doing the suspension-- they weren't happy :slap:). It is Type 1 though. I have the new sim on the way.

Oh, asking me if they needed to pull my lease contract and show me where it said I couldn't do this, threatening to tow the car, I made up some BS story about it being messed up and had to be fixed right there and then. Told them I didn't have a choice. They don't know any better.

Well, the SIM arrived today. It's impressive looking and very, very small. I'm going out to hook it up and reset the ECM.

On an interesting note, it says in the instructions, "Our supplier has been manufacturing the current version of O2 Simulator for years and have thousands in the field installed on a wide variety of GM vehicles. To date, they have not had a single field failure with this product."

2 Days and no light. The P0138 would have been back on by now. A few more miles and I'll go get my emission test done. Anyone know how long you need to drive after a computer reset before you can do your emissions?

I forget the exact amount of time, but if you have drove it regularly, it should be fine.

Yeah... I certainly hope this handles it. Nothing like passing at the last moment.

It worked perfectly! The one I got is very compact and pro looking too. Easy to hide.

Git U One (http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/o2sim.html)

I hooked it up after the CAT to prevent the P0420 code.
