Hello all, this is my first post. You all have been so helpful on a bunch of mods.

Ok so my problem is this stupid fuel line that apparently was snapped and "repaired" by a hose and some clamps.

(Hope that picture made it. First time posting a picture)

Recently I noticed an awesome gas smell coming from the AC so I looked under the hood to find a nice gas leak right on the end of the patched line. (End closest to the fuel rail. The missing segment of fuel line is pretty much that whole length of hose. My question is, what would be a better fix then the hose that's on there? Iv done a little research but I'm out of my league with fuel systems.

well with fuel lines its better to be safe. I've done very little as far as fuel pines go be the main thing it is needs to hold 50 psi in order to be suitable for our fuel systems. the hose clamps and rubber line seem to be ok ( as i've used it in the tank with a walbro fuel pump however I cannot tell you that it didn't leak as it was in the tank while in operation.

The pic sorta bothers me. but it all honesty the hose and clamps should hold the pressure regardless. but my concern is the plastic line is damaged so its probably that the break in the line could continue to split further up the line which will cause leakage. If the plastic still looks good i would continue to use the hoe and clamp. the clamp may have gotten loose due to engine heat cycles.

Thanks for your imput. Do you know if I can just buy a replacement line? And dang 50 psi, maybe I should get a heavier duty hose clamp in the mean time

The lines are more than likely sold in a set, it unplugs under the car near the drivers door, probably a gm or junkyard part only.

if you're looking for the gm part it looks to be one number for all three lines coming off the rail and disconnects shortly before or after the heat shield for 98-02 and under the driver door under the car for 94-97

95-97 L36 F67 (vert) gm # 10285261

95-97 L36 F87 (coupe) gm # 10285260

98 L36 gm# 10281369

99-02 L36 gm# 10291925

Note: 95-97 is the only years that list or take in consideration the front suspension difference between the verts and coupes

Lol did a quick search on google and every site that sells the pipe is "out of stock" or "no longer available.

I wouldn't doubt that. Did you try Gmpartdirect.com ?
