The 60 degree engines sound better than the 3800 but the 3800 has more power than the 3.4 in the Camaro... However, you can make a hybrid 60 degree engine and would almost match the 3800 if not surpass it

60 is a better engine. You can get way more power n/a per cubic inch, you can find aluminum heads like nothing, they're 60 so no balance shafts, they sound better, they're smaller...

i agree with both of you. Although, putting a crap master will always fuck up the sound. brother has a 95 and a crap master and it doesn't sound good at all. exhaust setups have more to do with sound than the motor.

90 like a v8. It works on a v8 because there are 4 pistons per bank. Each piston can rotate the crank 45 and it will be 360 of rotation at the crank after all 8 have fired.

The 60 v6 works because each piston can rotate the crank 60 x 6 pistons = 360 of crank rotation.

With a 90 v6 you need larger counter weights on the crank and this causes the need for balance shafts to counter act the vibrations caused by moving all of these weights.

That's what I get out of it anyway, and I'm confident its just about as factual as it can be.

I know, but the iron head 3.4 was pretty sad for an engine. Although I wonder how it would've been if the LQ1 3.4 was put in the Camaro as an RWD setup and not in the W body cars as a FWD setup. That engine was actually made for a 2nd gen Fiero that never happened.
