since the nupuals are complete i believe its time to start planning. I know with after school/weekend sport some folks are busy with their kids. i dont know which season is less problematic. mine is only 6yr old so we are pretty flexible. but i know with others its been an issue in the past to pick a date.

i want it to be a little more relaxed this time. less miles and more hanging out. let make sure we try to do that.

The circumstances that dictated my weekends have since been rectified.

I'm going to add a poll to this thread and maybe in the facebook group to gauge for when most are comfortable in having a cruise both financially and availability. This is not a commitment just gut check on which seasons are preferred (fall 2017, spring 2018, etc).

i think the spring was pretty easy for most. maybe we make that a regular season for it idk.

If we want to get one in this year we may try to hit it before school starts back to avoid all the school activities.

but only problem is the SCCA AL chapter stopped renting out barbers, musta been to costly. But i know the AL chapter does do many track days at smaller places as well as auto-x and other stuff

I am up for a cruise.

The only Saturdays I know will be issues for me are 3 June, 22 July and 23 September.

As far as a track, I probably won't take my car out. But I would be more than happy to shoot video and take pictures for the group.

I'll have to pass on a autox. mine is a daily driver its not going to come away from that without some repairs.

Also I live right next to the trace. i've traveled on it several times. I know the part near here is pretty boring. the parts up near nashville would probably be better to ride on. its a very nice road for the most part but you pretty much see the some things until the indian mounds or some other lookout point.

I wouldn't rule it out, but its a 50mph speed zone the whole way and there is usually traffic near my area. but i doubt its the same from top to bottom as it is here.

I'd love to visit a track in the Turbo RS. Not auto-x though. I would also love to be part of a cruise. Hoping the national thirdgen FB group sets something up as well.

Kinda off topic but i just got back home from flying in a small cessna 175 skylark it was fun and seen lots of places from up high. You can see lake guntersville from cullman once you 2k ft up. we flew to gadsden then over guntersville lake and you can see scotsboro from there. all in all flew around for 1.5 hr

well its not super clear on the votes but i think that a 2017 Fall Cruise should be doable.

We need to start looking at locations.

It wouldn't have matched well.

i know. i probably agree. it would not be worth modding a brand new car like that.

I don't know about all that. I would love to slap a twin turbo system on and get about 650 rear wheel horsepower. The thing about the rear fascia is I would have to get the side ground effects in the front piece for it to match, and I don't have that kind of money.

since nothing came about for a 2017 cruise anyone wanna shoot for a 2018 one?

yes!

2017 was a busy year for a couple of us. I 100% want to organize a 2018 cruise somewhere.

Needs to be easy for most to get to and needs to be less driving ( at least enough that we can hang out more than last time). I believe everyone agrees on that.
