The rules are actually pretty simple. Most of the rule book is the car classification which can be a pia.

yeah, i was looking at that. how the f*ck do you classify the car? i plan on running this year so i'll have to figure it out eventually. where do you think i could pick up a paper copy of the rules? that would be a lot easier to read than that pdf file.

If you car is stock, you just need to look up the stock class. They run from A stock (Caymans, Corvettes, etc) to H Stock (NA Jetta). If you have mods, then you need to find the right modded class. They tend to build on each other. Since I have new pistons and a cam, I have to run Street Mod.

If you go to a local meeting, they usually have rule books for sale.

cool. there's an event on the 11th i think. i plan on modding my transam but not until after i run it stock. just so i know what i want to do with it.
