    Default The "Other" Car...

You guys hear me talk about this thing enough, so I figured I'd post up some pics of my '86 300ZX. I bought it off a friend 3 months ago for $1200 with 155k miles (just getting broken in ). It's become my daily driver to keep the miles off my Camaro and hopefully will let me get some work done on it.

    Some basic info:
Turbo 3.0L V6 (VG30ET) - rated around 200/227. No I haven't run it at the track or against an F-body yet.
Currently running stock 7psi through the tiny T3 turbo
    Borg Warner 5 speed
3.54 geared open diff... (one year before the CLSD was included)
    T-tops
Electronically adjustable leather seats, auto climate control, & digital dash (GLL package)
    "Bitching Betty"

It certainly gets a lot of looks. Typically responses are usually either "What the hell is that thing? Some old Supra or Porsche?" or "I used to have one of those in high school. Man, I miss that thing". Anyway, here are some pics. Excuse the dirt, it was clean before we decided to have a little fun.

I've always loved the 300. I still remember, while sitting in a Nissan dealership in December of 1995 buying my truck, hearing the 300 would be no more. Very sad day. IMO, that was the death of the Z-car.

Yep... 1996 & 2002. Death of the z-car; death of the f-body. Sad years.

No joke... 16x7 wheels with a 20mm offset are way too tucked for the wide fenders on this car. I'm looking at some 17x9 Rota P45R wheels once these tires are toast. It also has the same bolt pattern as old/new edge Mustangs, so that might offer a few options too.
