    Default PCMforLess

DO NOT order a tune from them, They obviously cant tune a car for shit.

1st time, Got a tuned 97 computer, wouldnt run for shit. Way too rich/too much fuel.

Thinking it was just a mistake, few years later same thing. Cars not running right, too rich, too much gas.

Emailed them, they wont do nothing but a refund. Wont tweek anything wouldnt work with me to get a working tune, NOTHING.

BIG WASTE OF TIME AND 275$. Stay away.

    Thank you.

I hate pcm4less as well. Im not saying he will do it for sure, but if you have a 97 pcm and just want some basic stuff done, contact Caspernicus on here. He doesnt like doing big custom stuff (cam, nitrous, fi, etc), but he will usually do basic stuff, and for a whole hell of a lot less then them guys.

    |freakv6 12:21| bone will let people take his car out for joy rides at the g14
    |Pace 12:22| I vote we take the freak out for some joyrides.
    |freakv6 12:22| you can pace, then maybe you can drive the car afterwords

    Thumbs up

I just may do that. I'm not sending it back so might as well take my losses again and let somebody tune the pcm I have now.

The 275$ is gonna get its money worth of bad REP from me.

I'm not sure if you actually went to them with your car or not and not to fan the flames or anything, but I never could understand how someone who doesn't have the physical car in front of them could put a tune on a PCM. Truth being that I had PCM4less put a basic tune into a '97 PCM just to get my project to start, which it did, but I still had to go with a dyno tune to see all the parameters and get everything in sync.

The tuner I had set all the stuff up actually pulled another 20hp out of it (which was sizeable nonetheless) and also said that he was approached for doing mail tunes, but refused for the same reason. Unless the car is there and running, there's only so much you can do. Real time/real world readings while the car is running is really the only way to go. Sure, he could've made a mint, but without running it, how could he be sure?

Always be ready to get a dyno tune when doing serious mods. It's pricey, but afterward, it's all worth it.

This is why I'm glad that pcm4less is local to me. I am gonna go sit down with Alvin and see what he can do for my upcoming cam install. I was told by another outside source that he would probably have the car for at least a week so he could tune it... then drive it.. then bring it back and make more adjustments. Stay tuned... I'll let ya know how things go!!!

I agree with the car being tuned on site but I just dont see how a basic bolt on tune could be so difficult.

But it is what it is. I'm going to have to find someone local to fix pcmforless's tune.
