I need to stress that I will only be canvassing MY OWN 3x00 build. There are MANY different ways to go (there are 3 different heads to choose from alone) but it will at least be a good basis.

Yes, Im wanting to go with a biggier bore like say .20 or.30. Im not sure of which head would work best

I understand the money is tight situation very well. You have plenty of time to finish as I won't begin this process until you are done lol.

Max do you really think and hybrid will smoke an LT1? I am still on the fence. I have a complete 3400 just sitting here, money & and indecision is the only thing holding me back.

ANY engine can smoke ANYTHING if its done right. There have have already been multiple turbo 3.8's putting out 700 and 800 hp atw and I know two people in mass with 300 to 400 hp 3.4s. ANYTHING can be done if its done right

I'll second that, you just have to figure out what a particular engine needs, and don't skimp on the duckies or it just won't end up "right"... Anyways 285 or so shouldn't be hard to beat. Hybrids have potential!

Subscribed! I, too, own a 3.4 Camaro. I've been doing research on the hybrid build for a few months now. I'm planning on the 3400 heads, intake, pistons, fuel rail, injectors, and throttle body. I have a full 3400 donor motor readily available to me when ever I need it. Now I just need to find a donor 3.4 to make it all come together over a period of time. Money is tight being a full time college student and working minimum wage lol. I would like to ask a few questions though.

I'm planning on upgrading to roller rockers, new valve springs, and a cam. Obviously I'll need springs and rockers for the 3400 and a cam for the 3.4. But what will I need pushrods from? 3400, 3.4, 3100??? Also, what do you think would be a good cam for this build? 260/260?
