Lots of us use pictures in our posts. There are many places to do this, but the method is the same. You need to upload your pics to an image hosting site (photobucket, flickr, facebook, and also here at V6F-body.com) then link them in your post. Here is how it works
How to upload pics to an Image hosting site:
As a supporting member you have the ability to upload pics to your profile. We encourage membership subscriptions to help continue the success of the site, but you may use any hosting site you perfer. Here are the instructions for a couple.
V6F-Body.com:
First you need a supporting membership to activate these features. please see the details here.
Once your supporting membership has been activated. Go to your profile by clicking your name in the upper right hand corner of the page, where is says "Welcome, [your name]. look along the right side of your profile. half way down you will see "Albums" section. pick the "show all albums" link. pick "add album" on the left. Here you will name your album. Keep it set to public. Then press Submit. this will bring you into the Album. theres a link in the middle of the page "Click here to upload pictures". this next page you will press "Choose File" and browse to the location on your PC . You can upload multiple files at once. just press the next "Choose File button to continue selecting more files. press upload when finished selecting your pictures. Add any info you would like to the next page. then press "Save Changes". you will now see your pictures in your new album.
Option #2: Another option is to attach the picture to the post. this works well in most cases however the viewer has to be logged in to see the attachement.
Photobucket:
Create you a photobucket account. After you login to photobucket. There's a button at the top that says "upload", press it. It will bring you to another screen that has a button that says "Select photo and videos", you have the option to change which photo album you want to upload to. all pictures can be moved around after you upload them, but understand that if you move them the posts that you link them in will fail after you move them, because it has new address. Now press "Select photo and videos". A box opens then you browse to the location with your pics and Highlight the pictures you want to upload and hit ok. They should copy to photobucket. you will see a progress bar at the top and each picture that uploads at the bottom. You can add info to your pics during this process at the bottom. Once everything is uploaded, press the "save and continue to my album"
How to link pictures in inside your posts:
This is pretty simple. Most all image hosting sites have the IMG code that you simply copy and paste into the body of your post. this code will show the picture in your post.
(Ignore spaces)
IMG code example:
but lets say you only have the direct link to the picture.
URL example:http: //www.v6f-body.com/picture.php?albumid=58&pictureid=1097
if you look above the body of your post you will see options like center align and bold etc. you will also see this button. if you hit this button a box will appear. just paste the URL in this box and press OK. it will create the IMG code for you. All it does is add to the end. this will tell the site to show the picture rather than show the address to it that you have to click to view the pic.
Examples:
url link
http://www.v6f-body.com/picture.php?...pictureid=1097
IMG link
