    Glad you posted up a thread. Your Firebird looks clean and those parts will make a nice difference in how it feels. I haven't driven mine much since putting it back to stock, but I can already tell how much looser and unresponsive it feels.
    Thanks for the compliments. I try to keep it clean.

    There are some curvy hillside roads near my house so I will be able to thoroughly test the new suspension.

    The IAT grommet is not here yet so I think the lettering may disappear tonight.

    Well, something got messed up with GM so my local dealer placed a second order for the IAT grommet.
    It finally came in yesterday so I got the Whisper Lid installed last night. I did not drive the Firbird to work today but will hopefully get to try it out tomorrow.

    The lid definitely makes a difference. Not sure how much power changed, but it sounds much better above 3K.

    @Pace: The letters just peeled right off with no residue. Also, you were right, it was not easy to get the IAT sensor into the grommet.

    I had a short notice trip come up so everything will be on hold for a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll get some extra days off afterwards to make some headway.

    For a week or so I was getting a SES light for codes P0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1) and P0174 System Too Lean (Bank 2).
    I made note of the freeze frame and cleared the codes one time.
    They came back and the freeze frame was very similar. I cleared one more time and the codes returned.
    Today I replaced the fuel filter (who knows if this was ever done before) and made a test drive at the vehicle speed and engine RPM that triggered the codes before.
    So far so good.
