Thanks for the encouragement. I will be off for 2 weeks after Friday. I can take it apart on Saturday to see what I am dealing with and should have time to get it all back together.

Well, I have not done anything with the intake. I really need to get another beater car so I can feasibly have this car off the road for an extended period.

Anyway, a while back the driver side window motor got weak so I got it up and pulled the breaker to keep from accidentally using the switch to lower it. Now that it is time to drive with the top down I replaced the motor today.

I went with a new instead of rebuilt unit from Cardone only because it has a lifetime warranty instead of 1 year. I plan to keep the car much longer than 1 year.

There are plenty of videos and write-ups for this online.

    My only tips are:
    1. Start with 1/16" holes to make sure you are aligned properly to drill out the factory rivets with your larger bit
    2. Install the bottom 2 screws first, the top one is an awkward reach and is best done with the motor as secure as possible.

Today I drove out and back to Atlanta for my friend Tim's funeral. He came by to visit during G17, but I don't recall if any of you got to meet him. I did not snap any pictures of us together that day, but did find this one I took of his car.

His casket was carried from the church to the cemetery in the bed of his F-250 and right behind was his Corvette in the procession. Both were per instructions he gave his father.

Also, somehow a C-130 flew right over the cemetery as the pallbearers carried his casket from the truck to the gravesite. Logic says coincidence, but I am inclined to call it a flyover.

Tim made every day special in life and I was blessed to be a part of it.

Guys like Tim don't die, they just get invited to hang out in God's garage.

I believe I remember meeting him that year.

The flyover was a cool send off.

My condolences to you and to Tim's Family.
