That's quick. It's nice to hear some progress finally paying off. Should be pretty nice to drive after the tune. nothing like a smooth WOT

It's happening very quickly! I'm also looking into potentially switching my center console out with one from the 97-02. Do we have a pros and cons list anywhere or does anyone have opinions?

Alright, so another big issue for me moving forward is the paint. A new paint job isn't in the budget before I sell the car. I'm pushing my luck with the wife as it is with what we're spending, so we've decided to go the more economical route and clean it as best we can and then go for the PlastiDip colour change. $2300 for a macco crap paint job vs $600 for the kit from DipYourCar, and I'm really liking the simplistic look. Y-pipe done and welded up, go to start it and nothing. Thinking 6 years of sitting has the fuel tank and filter just fucked and it's not putting out enough pressure. Decided we're already this deep so we ordered a new pump and tank to avoid any rust/corrosion issues that could be going on in the tank. $400 cad for the kit isn't too bad anyways and the shop will only charge me half hour to swap them. 1 thing after another with this car has me feeling defeated. We also found another issue where the 2.8l mid tube headers I have are basically touching the nut on the end of the slave cylinder. They're going to try and wrap it with some exhaust wrap seeing as we'd already tried to bend it far enough away. I'm at a loss and don't really know what else to do

Oh for sure, it's more of an appearance thing for when I sell the car because the paint has seen better days and I'd rather show them pics of the paint and why I dipped it than have someone haggle with me over the price because the paint isn't perfect. And a $2500 paint job just isn't in the budget. Especially not after the pump sucked up some shit (left the gas tank real low/empty for 6.5years) and the car won't even start now. Found a package deal on rockauto for the pump and a new gas tank for $400 cad so figured to be safe I'd just replace both. Just want to make sure it's done right and I know the inside of that tank can not be pretty.

Alright so more progress. Car is home now with the exhaust and rear main all done. We also replaced a couple mounts and stuff that we noticed were shot. The issue now is getting the car to run. it'll turn over and start, run for 30 seconds and then sputter and die. I can start it with my foot on the gas but it won't go above 3k rpm and as soon as I let off the gas at all it sputters and dies. I've pulled the plugs a couple times now and noticed they're getting alot of carbon very quickly, and a couple are even wet. Could it be that the 28# injectors are just flooding the engine with too much fuel for the stock tune to handle?
