https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdL7s5Y7Mhc That's the double din setup I'm going to use. When you say over size the wire what do you mean by that exactly? What's a good wire brand?

I just want to make sure I do all this the right way while I already have the carpet and stuff out. I'm trying to find a cost effective way of sound dampening the interior as well. Do you have any recommendations for that as well?

well if the specs says 4 gauge jump up to 2 gauge on your power wire for amps. make good ground points also. take paint off and make a good connection to the metal.

Also account for voltage drop over long distances for your power wire.

I can only think on stinger as a brand that i have used. I'm sure there are other brands. basically if its on crutchfield i'll say it a good brand. looks like they use t-spec brand wire kits

as for the video they also say to cut the dash out. i didn't think a double din would fit without cutting that part out.

Car is officially in the shop. Only hiccup was when he asked me how many 02 sensors the car had, and I had no legit answer because I can't remember

We've got alot of updates to add after this weekend.
-Drove it for the first time, she runs loud and rough but she runs.
-Custom Y-pipe (thanks to mid tube headers) and the rear main are being done at a shop
-Wednesday/Thursday I have the pleasure of a MasterTech from Chevy tuning it
Should have it home and driving by next weekend!
Working on stripping the aluminum rims to blast em silver and clear coat
Also need to install my new Pioneer AVH-50EX and wire the car for subs, so if anyone has any tips for that I'm all ears!
