So after 323k miles on the Camry it threw a rod. Took about a quart every couple hundred miles. That's about the threshold. Once you get there it's not much longer

its currently doing fine. the timing chain guide broke recently. I've since fixed that.
I've probably mentioned this, the losing oil thing is a defect in the 1.8 liter for this generation of corolla and probably Camry too. the oil gallery from the pistons to the pan are too small and get caked with stuff and no longer allow oil to run back down in the pan which forces the oil to burn up in the cylinders.
I hope to get her a new vehicle at some point. but just keeping this one patched up and running until then.

lol I dont doubt that.
its currently (knock on wood) running fine. I really hope to get her another vehicle soon though. gotta wait till this corona junk passes before I can plan on anything lol
