Free to his brother, or the whole family?

    Regardless, I didn't know.

it was free to him. his dad bought it. 1800 i think. it wasn't a great deal but his dad bought it anyway. I guess since he knew i was a camaro guy i'd know alot more about it than something else.

no big deal. I may run a carfax report later. its a rebuilt title we knew that I just don't know what it was rebuilt from.

See my thing is that I feel for $1800, you can get a better deal than a salvage/rebuilt title. My 2002 3800 Camaro was around that price point, and I bought it with 115K. Sure it was an automatic but for $2000, can I really complain? It had the T tops and I rather have those than an M5. City driving would get annoying after the 3rd day. I daily mine (or so when it actually ran) so it was a compromise.

    I did manage to find a 94 3400/M5 with 110K 1 1/2 years ago and the owner wanted $1800.

I'm not trynna beat your bro's ride down or anything, but I guess my point is that patience is a virtue. I've been wanting a Camaro since I was 15. It only took me 6 years but I ended up with one. Now I just gotta get a 70-72 and an Iroc Z and I'll be artifically happy lol

lol no worries. they should have been patient and waited for a good deal but i believe because it was white and auto he pulled the trigger.

We will get it sorted out. he gets his drivers license after the 1st. we will be continually working to get it back to health.

Sweet! just make sure he doesn't wreck it.

Will there be a 3800 upgrade in its lifetime?

very doubtful. he wants to spend his money on FI and stereos.

I'd say that if we happen to get a junker I might.

3800 isn't much of an upgrade, if you throw a 3400 or 3.4/34/3500 hybrid in it it'll perform just as good if not better than a 3800. Plus you don't have to change harnesses and pcms

I never really think about hybrid engines. I guess because it feels it would be more complicated.

yeah that's one of the reasons. I honestly don't believe we will be modding the motor beyond headers and intake because i'll be the one that is doing it. I won't have time to take on a project like swaps or FI for a while.
