Haha thanks guys! Okay heres a real update finally! And with plenty of pictures! Took the pump out and the hoses, but left in the hard lines to the manifold. They have valves that keep exhaust from coming out, however i am still going to put some caps on them at least for asppearance. I am NOT going to battle those rusty nuts to get those suckers out especially since im going to be putting in headers anyway next year with taxes.

    Before

    Missing pump

    Extra parts

    Thank GOD for extractor sockets

    After with smaller belt

    Cleaner engine bay, check!

Something is wrong with the new belt routing. Nothing is driving the water pump pulley.

Okay so the other day i did an oil change, replaced air filter with a more breathable one, removed the rest of the smog piping from the manifold and used 1/4" brass plugs from home depot. Gave it a nice bath and vacuum today and tomorrow i have a bunch of little stuff planned.

Going to clean the engine bay, remove the valve covers, check the clearance on the rockers/rods, paint the valve covers and clean out the EGR valve and throttle body/intake.

Then im going to attempt to file down the shit welds on my exhaust and paint the pipes black. Should be a pain in the balls doing it on my back!

Then ill wax it and drive off into the sunset!

Im wicked pumped as it seems like i havnt had any real time to myself in a while to work on my car and just tinker without being pressed for time,

I think next will be either water pump for preventative maintenance, and diff cover/gasket and fluid.
