Well LS swap time is coming, but the guys in our local third gen club told me how much they loved the turbo v6. So at this point I'm gonna make it work as cheap as possible and send it. When it blows this time it's bye bye v6.

Over the past couple months I've completely bypassed the GM DIS ICM. Built ignition drivers and installed them in the Megasquirt. Bypassed the ICM ignitors. Crank sensor is now wired directly to the MS, and the coils are triggered directly from the MS now.

I did this as I had a persistent misfire on cyl 1. Swapped coils, wires, plugs, ICM and crank sensor for it to persist. So I rewired the ignition system to rule out a flaky ICM.

Wound up finding out number 1 intake lobe is gone.

Had an old used camshaft in the shed from a buddy. Said fuck it and put it in. Swapped out the lifter on #1 intake. Wiped at least 5 cam lobes. You get what you pay for (free).

So I ordered new Melling lifters and a stock Melling camshaft.

Now I just have to put them in.

Engine is torn all the way down to do a cam swap, just gotta motivate myself and do it. Hard to do when you buy a 2021 for a daily

Other things, had a new windshield installed and got new rubber on all 4 corners.


So to finish off the turbo v6 I gotta fab a new passenger side log header. Finish off the methanol injection setup. Send it.

i like the send it idea lol.

yeah I bought a cbr900rr and my car is parked. This was intentional but its hard to get motivated to tear apart the car the way i want for fear I wont get it back together lol
