We've had a 3d printer at work for some time. its a powder type media that doesn't do well except for high reasolution and high color resolution. We then recently pruchased an Airwolf 3d printer because it makes more functional parts. Since then I've been aware that I really need a 3d printer for the house. But I don't want to drop 4k or 1k for that matter to get a decent one. I did some deep research. thankfully there is a company that sells a kit that you assembly for 300 bucks that will print PLA and ABS (abs is a must because of it higher temp threshold for part i print for the car). I decided what the hell. for 300 I'll try it.
I'm very happen so far. just because I can print whatever I want within it capabilities. I've only been playing around with PLA but even still I've gotten lots of good prints from it. ABS is the next step. I've purchased some abs and will be trying it out soon.
