Here are my thoughts. You should be able to get the jist of what I'm about to say by looking at the two pics. Pic 1 was before. Pic 2 is after.

The copper line for the mech oil pressure gauge is tiny. The steel line is huge in comparison(1/4 inch)for the turbo feed. The way it's arranged, most of the oil pressure goes for the straight shot to the larger turbo feed line. So I believe the reading on the gauge is slightly false following the path of least resistance principal.

Even after switching the line location there wasn't much change. I attribute this to the passages in the oil filter housing still locating that oil line for the pressure gauge on the 90 passage. So I need to get rid of that T fitting and put the pressure gauge directly where the old gauge sensor was. That will lead to a fully accurate oil pressure reading. Then I'll put that oil feed line for the turbo where the pressure gauge line is now.

Also. Got tired of not having an underhood light, so I used a really awesome aluminum LED strip. Plenty of light and re-used the factory wiring. The pic is in the dark. Only the light bar is lit.

Picked these up at the swap meet by me. Double layered. Before and after.

Over the next week I'll post little updates while I knock out a few things before the car show this weekend. Met a couple third gen owners at the swap meet and invited them out to the show. Should have at least 20 there. Probably bring the good camera with me.

Here are a few pics from cleaning stuff up with some simple green and a brush.

Tidied up a little more under the hood as well.

Have a few more small things including an oil change.

So the car made it down and back from Fort Desoto at minimum spec oil pressure.

When I did the oil change before I went I cut the filter open. Block is on borrowed time as the aluminum in the filter (roughly 2k miles of beating) shows.

Still no noise or rough running, but it's time I start prepping that other 3.4. Don't know when, but it's coming. Probably not going to blow up this one. I'll probably reuse the 2.8 heads again if they're still as tight as they were when I checked them at 300k miles.

Couple pics of the cars and beach on the phone. Have a few more I'll upload off the camera later.
